The Montgomery Homestead Inn, located in Damascus, Virginia, is a 1920's Arts and Crafts style home where you can forget life's stresses and slip back in time to a slower and more simple way of life. The Appalachian Trail is located right across the street. If you have come to bike the Virginia Creeper Trail, you can just park your car and start riding your bike. The trail is one block away. Several bike shuttle stations are located on our street and they have service to White Top and Abingdon several times a day. Several of you have asked if my inn is a Bed and Breakfast. It is not. I served breakfast many years ago but now it is an inn. Several restaurants are located within a 5-10 min. walk from our inn. Most of these begin serving breakfast around 7 a.m. Your hostess, Susie Montgomery, will make you feel right at home as she shares with you the many adventures that can be experienced in our peaceful mountains. Our large living room has a comfortable sofa, library with a variety of books and magazines, and Direct t.v. The music room has a piano, recliner, and a variety of musical instruments for our guests to enjoy. The Damascus library is about a 10 minute walk and has daily newspapers, used books for sale, maps for the area, and internet access. We have wi-fi internet service available in the town of Damascus. Many of our guests enjoy swinging in the front yard or relaxing in the Adirondack chairs. Comments from Our Guests "Feels like coming home." "Great hospitality, hope to return soon!" "Too comfy! Tough to get back on the trail." "Thank you! Our favorite place and our favorite people."
